Overview
Rima completed her Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) at Carleton University in 2021, graduating with minors in both French and Legal Studies. After developing an interest in the legal system, she went on to complete her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa.
During law school, Rima worked for the Canadian Human Rights Commission and gained research and drafting experience assisting head counsel prepare for both tribunal hearings and judicial reviews. Over the course of her studies, she focused on criminal law by taking oral advocacy courses, interning in criminal defence, and completing a research placement at the Ontario Court of Justice.
Rima spends her free time on adventures with her dog Winston, doing yoga, and planning future travels.
