Graham Cook

Graham grew up in Calgary, Alberta and completed is B.A. in Political Science at the University of Calgary. He went on to serve as a police officer for nine years with the Calgary Police Service. There he found a calling supporting marginalized people who have found themselves on the wrong side of various situations. Graham specifically looks back at working in the Domestic Violence Response Team as a very challenging yet the most rewarding role as a police officer.

To support the professional career of his wife, he then moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador and began his work as a stay-at-home dad.

Graham obtained his J.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2024. During law school he felt that he was not busy enough, thus welcomed a third child into his now family of 5. He did find some additional time to again work with marginalized people with the Ticket Defence Program, a free clinic where homeless and street-involved persons sought help to fight poverty-related provincial offense tickets.

When not working, Graham enjoys reading, cycling, hiking, and rugby which (although his playing days are over) he hopes to coach soon. His favourite way of spending time is with his wonderful children and his cherished wife.
