Overview
Nehmat “Nemee” Bedar completed her articles as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Ontario Superior Court in Ottawa. In this position she worked with and learned from the judges in Ontario’s East Region, developing significant experience in criminal law, observed several trials, and learned to work under tight time constraints. She was called to the bar in Ontario in June 2023.
Nemee is committed to building relationships in the community and to public legal education. As a law student she worked with the Ontario Justice Education Network by organizing and presenting educational seminars to high school students. As an articling student she was on the executive for the Ontario Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (East) and the Students Section. She is currently a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa.
Outside of the office, Nemee is a fitness enthusiast and an avid reader.
