Overview
Karen completed her articles at a mid-size full-service firm where she gained tremendous experience in family law, employment law as well as civil and commercial disputes. Karen also worked as a lawyer in rural areas of Eastern Ontario, where she appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court as well as the Ontario Court of Appeal. She also assisted clients with claims before the Human Rights Tribunal, the Landlord & Tenant Board as well as the Immigration and Refugee Board.
Karen prioritizes amicable resolutions as much as possible, and only brings matters to court when necessary. To that end, she successfully completed a Collaborative Law training. The Collaborative Process is ideal for individuals seeking a non-adversarial approach (i.e. without going to court) to resolve their separation. Further, Karen offers mediation services on parenting, support and property issues.
When Karen is away from the office, she enjoys practicing hot yoga, hiking in the Gatineau Park and travelling abroad. Her most memorable trip so far was in Bali, Indonesia.
Karen offre aussi ses services en français.
