Israel Gencher

Israel Gencher is an Ottawa native who attended the University of Ottawa and the University of Western Ontario. Israel was called to the Bar in 1990 and has practiced law here in his hometown and throughout Eastern Ontario ever since.

Israel maintains a varied practice, including criminal defence, administrative law, and Civil litigation. With our personal injury team, he has a particular focus on WSIB claims and appeals. Israel is a strong advocate who has appeared at both trial and appellant level courts in Ontario, as well as various administrative tribunals.

Israel is an active member of the Carleton County Law Association. He also devotes his time as a fundraiser for several community and charitable organizations. Israel takes great pleasure and pride in mentoring more junior members of the Bar. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College.

When not in Court or at the office, he is a very busy family man who can usually be found chauffeuring his children to their many activities or chasing them around a soccer pitch or down a ski slope.
